They are attracted to living organisms through the carbon dioxide they exhale. The Mosquito Magnet mimics this scent by catalytically converting propane to an odorless mixture of carbon dioxide, heat, and moisture. Once the mosquitoes are pulled into the trap, they dehydrate and die within 24 hours.

The Mosquito Magnet is designed to attract only bloodsucking insects, which ensures that no beneficial insects like butterflies or bees are affected. When properly placed the Mosquito Magnet will begin working immediately, with noticeable results achieved in 7 to 10 days. However, we suggest if you want to greatly reduce your mosquito magnet population that you allow 4-6 weeks of continuous use.
